Interfolio, an Elsevier company, builds innovative products for the global higher education and research communities. Interfolio provides academic information systems to support collaboration and academic decision-making.

About the Role

Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) work in close collaboration with senior Account Executives, who serve as mentors and help guide the strategy and tactical execution of a territory sales plan. SDRs engage with executives at colleges and universities to demonstrate how their institutions can better serve their faculty and in turn, their students. SDR's develop expertise in the higher ed landscape. They identify needs and demonstrate the benefits of the Interfolio platform.

Responsibilities

  • Researching, identifying, and qualifying target accounts
  • Creating appropriate lists of prospects and contacts for email/phone campaigns, newsletter distribution and conference attendance
  • Working with and supporting designated Account Executive by developing creative and purposeful content and strategically co-developing territory plan
  • Scheduling appointments between prospects and Account Executives
  • Prioritizing and leading prospecting activities through our CRM database
  • Demonstrating Interfolio’s suite of products via web presentations.
  • Representing Interfolio at conferences and other networking events

Requirements

  • Have experience in customer-facing role
  • Possess experience with inside sales procedures and selling by phone
  • Demonstrate confidence communicating with c-suite executives
  • Have experience with online technology platforms (e.g. Salesforce/CRM, Google productivity suite)
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
