The Role

We are currently recruiting for the newly created role of Procurement Specialist to join our ANZ Procurement and Supply team on a full time, permanent basis in Erskine Park. Working closely with our Category Managers and wider procurement team, you will play a critical support role in contract negotiations and management, the annual business planning process, product ranging and pricing, and category optimisation planning. You will also be responsible for category management SOX compliance as well as sales and customer service query support.

You will be responsible for:

  • Category management support by responding to internal queries on supply, price, ranging variations etc. as well as following up with external vendors as required.
  • Supporting Category Managers with reporting requirements using tools including Power BI and Phocas.
  • Maintaining up to date lists of product substitutes and alternatives and coordinating with the purchasing team on short and long terms supply issues.
  • Assisting with the creation of category plans, annual business plans, and revenue tracking.
  • Assisting with evaluating and negotiating vendor contracts as required.
  • Providing support to Product Master Data team by managing the interface and data provision from supply partners.
  • Review vendor and product EOQ’s / MOQ’s.
  • SOX compliance reporting.

About You

Our ideal candidate will bring:

  • Demonstrated two years in a procurement support role (potentially as a Procurement Analyst, Sales Support Analyst, Category Analyst etc.).
  • Relevant industry experience within a wholesale, animal health, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or retail environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and emotional intelligence to identify and deliver opportunities for improved commercial return.
  • Well developed attention to detail combined with advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders with a customer-centric focus.
