Radiology Aide - (3279242)
The Radiology Aide works as an integral part of the Radiology healthcare team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered. He/she works under the direct supervision of the Breast Imaging Operations Manager and Technical Specialist. The Radiology Aide is responsible for assisting Breast Imaging Radiologists, Radiologic Technologists and/or other Radiology staff as instructed during breast procedures such as breast ultrasound, breast biopsies, room turnover, and directing patients in and out of the Radiology suite(s).
o Able to communicate effectively; verbal and non-verbal communication skills are important.
o Willingness to initiate communication/conversation with patients and families. Excellent patient care skills are necessary due to patient anxiety.
o Ability to perform safely in a fast-paced environment.
