Ingram Micro is seeking experienced software engineers who can leverage their skill-set to grow as part of an Agile SCRUM team. Key Job Functions/ Requirements
- Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining test cases and test strategies to meet release deliverables, project testing requirements and other quality assurance considerations
- Lead the development of the testing strategy for the SCRUM team
- Lead the overall testing effort, directing other QA Testers as needed
- Perform test analysis on assigned user stories review acceptance criteria, collaborate with product owner /contribute on completeness of user stories.
- Develop & Executes detailed test cases; performs complex manual, integration, and regression tests.
- Documents defects/bugs and enhancement requests and assists development with concise and detailed steps for duplication of the problems found while performing manual functional, integration, and regression tests.
- Assists fellow agile team members and customers with problem reporting and resolution and maintaining appropriate follow-up communications throughout the defect resolution process.
- Contributes towards QA Story points estimation and test scheduling process
- Creates high level test flows/ procedures with clearly defined test objectives
- Work closely with the development staff to ensure that issues/defects are dealt with in a timely manner
- Participate in Deployment Testing exercises as needed
- Participate contribute Sprint planning sessions
- Participate in all SCRUM events, including Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, daily stand-up and Sprint Review
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum Experience
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Expert in quality assurance engineering of complex web applications
- Expert in applying testing principles and black box testing techniques like Boundary value analysis, Equivalence partitioning, Decision Table, Error Guessing etc.
- Experience in setting up the correct assurance processes at appropriate testing level, advocates and blends different testing types to maximize coverage taking quality to the new standards
- Proficient in creating test scenarios, test cases, test plans and performing test execution efficiently by prioritizing test cases
- Experience performing gap analysis and improvising the test coverage of complex product
- Proficient in functional testing of web services using any of the testing tools Postman, SoapUI or Swagger UI
- Experience with any leading test management tools like Test Rail, Xray, Zephyr, HP ALM or Microsoft Test Manager
- Excellent understanding working in Agile QA methodology, life cycle and processes
- Experience in utilizing test data or service response mock up tools (like Parasoft) to complement integration or end to end testing
- Proven experience of maintaining quality metrices and plan the next steps to improve the quality figures
- Experience of performance testing, load testing, stress testing and execution of these tests using any of the popular performance testing framework (Jmeter, Loadrunner etc)
- Ability to make decisions being the gate keeper for quality of complex product or suite of products
- Knowledgeable in test automation of UI and API behaviors, CI/CD set up, Selenium and Rest Assured tools
- Mindset to appreciate continuous deployments and DevOps
- Experience on highlighting quality risks, creating and implementing mitigation plan
- Knowledge of accessibility testing tools (Axe Accessibility, IBM Equal Access, Site Improve etc) is a plus
