We are seeking an experienced architectural leader who can bring a mature, modern and a global mindset towards our Tax and Accounting solutions. This person will be recognized as an experienced technologist and business consultant, but equally as a people leader capable of leading a team of architectures to provide consultation to the larger technology organization. 

As Senior Architect, you will join Tax and Accountings centralized architecture team as a leader who is focused on both solution architecture, as well as leading a dynamic team of architects to deliver first class consultation across our portfolio. You will work with a large number of stakeholders, from Product leaders, business partners to central operations and architecture. 

Our ideal partner will demonstrate a deep technical knowledge and have experience in solution architecture within the cloud, as well as having a proven track record of managing senior technologist to success. 

About the Role 

As Senior Architect, you will: 

  • Manage a team of architects, coaching, mentoring and ensuring their continued success 
  • Participate in solution architecture and strategy at both high and granular levels of the engineering process 
  • Contribute and lead business unit organizational standards and governance 
  • Provide strategic and technical architectural guidance to senior management, business technology project teams and functional organizations. 
  • Guides teams in defining the future state of end-to-end architectures, platforms, products, tools, and solutions to advance capabilities in the business. 
  • Participate in our Technology Standards & Governance committee to influence and ensure the appropriate levels of governance are in place. 
  • Contributes to and influences the technical strategies associated with a potential acquisition or divestiture 

About You 

You’re a fit for the role of a Senior Architect if your background includes: 

  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience implementing a myriad of architecture patterns such as SOA, microservices, cloud modernization, infrastructure and DevOps 
  • Experience in leading a team of technologies, both as a people manager, coach and mentor. 
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, relevant, and accurate recommendations based on information gathered from a variety of stakeholders and subject matter experts. 
  • Comfortable at all levels of an organization with the ability to communicate clearly. 
  • A deep and fundamental technology heritage that will gain the respect of the top technologists within TR and across the broader industry. 
  • AWS/Azure certified or relevant industry experience. 
  • Deep exposure to Java and dotnet technology stacks, environments, and ecosystems
