A bit about the job:

As a Claims Manager within our Marine division, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, handling a diverse caseload from notification to settlement.

Your day-to-day will include:

Decision Making: Assertively leading claims, making quick and informed decisions.

System Management: Keeping our system up-to-date with all claim-related information.

Stakeholder Coordination: Working closely with stakeholders, brokers, and corporate clients to ensure swift claim validation and fostering lasting relationships.

Financial Oversight: Optimizing financial outcomes by delivering customer focused and cost effective solutions.

Innovation: Using lead measures to drive claims efficiently and spearheading improvements in technology and processes.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven cargo insurance claim handling experience is essential, with strong technical knowledge and ability to understand and communicate complex policy conditions
  • Knowledge of London Market Insurance placements and use of ECF claim handling system
  • Problem-solving skills to identify the blockages within the system and initiate resolution.
  • Strong commercial acumen to challenge cost decisions and make decisions within your authority limits.
  • Well-developed customer service skills, ability to react quickly to decisions ensuring excellent customer engagement throughout.

  • Salary starting from circa £55.000 (dependent on experience and interview performance).
