Middle Office Financial Analysis Vice President

As the Vice President Financial Analysis on the Commercial Bank team, you should have a knack for story-telling with financial data and be detail oriented, organized, strategic, analytical and energetic. This is a high-impact opportunity on our Finance & Business Management team ensuring senior management across Commercial Bank have visibility into major initiatives, business metrics and financials to achieve their strategic objectives. You will provide support to senior Business and Operations leaders and key partners across Commercial Bank Finance, Business Management, Data & Analytics and Project Management teams to enable effective end-to-end execution. In this position, you will be responsible for financial reporting, including forecasting and planning, with an emphasis on staffing models, expenses & headcount and allocation processes. 

Job responsibilities

  • Detail headcount tracking to ensure accurate Position Management/Requisition approvals and reconciliation against current budget and outlook
  • Partner with Middle Office leadership and Commercial Bank Finance & Business Management teams to generate monthly, annual, and multi-year forecast headcount and direct expenses
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reporting packages
  • Conduct analysis and create executive level presentation using PowerPoint PitchPro+ 
  • Coordinate deliverables with business managers, finance, project managers and other Finance & Business Management teams 
  • Analyze large amounts of data, assess KPI trends, and create impactful analysis to assist in developing strategy 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 6+ years of experience in financial data analysis and story-telling 
  • Ability to work collaboratively; develop strong partnership with multiple levels of employees and stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills and ability to tell the story on financials and initiatives 
  • Ability to produce successful results in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills with ability to interpret and present complex data
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of or experience with Alteryx, BI tools, databases, and SQL Querying
