Join our dynamic team as a Cloud Container Engineer level III, where you will play a pivotal role in the evolution of our infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in Kubernetes and cloud platforms, particularly AWS (with a future expansion to Azure and GCP). You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems, implementing best practices in container orchestration, and contributing to the strategic transition from on-premises to cloud-based solutions.

As a Cloud Container Engineer level III your responsibilities will include:

  • Container Orchestration where you leverage your experience with Kubernetes, EKS, AKS and Terraform to manage and optimize containerized workloads.
  • You will be Actively involved in the migration from on-premises to the cloud by leveraging your Cloud Platform Expertise with in-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services (Azure and GCP experience a plus).
  • You will utilize Splunk and DataDog for effective platform and application monitoring (your familiarity with Open Telemetry is a plus).
  • You will automate operational tasks to enhance efficiency and reliability through scripting and automation by leveraging your strong proficiency in Terraform and Python.
  • You will contribute to the strategic planning and execution of the on-premises to cloud transition including successfully transitioning teams to cloud-centric workflows. Your familiarity with cost show back of cloud services. Will contribute to your success.
  • You will contribute to continuous improvement of usability and management of container platform (e.g., EKS, ECS, AKS) by engaging with vendor for executing proof of value/concept and leveraging your hands-on experience with experimentation with open-source container technologies.

  • You have knowledge and 3+ years of experience in administration and troubleshooting across DevOps/Deployment, Orchestration Management, Containerization, Configuration Management.
  • You have knowledge and 3 + years of experience in Continuous Integration Technology (e.g., Harness, Codepipeline, Github, or related tools).
  • You have knowledge and 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting Container Technology (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, ECR, BottleRocket, 
  • You have knowledge of software development with understanding of application architecture with experience working in an Agile environment.
  • You have experience in scripting or development using Terraform, Python, Node.js/JavaScript, PowerShell, Golang or Bash.
  • You have a certificate, Diploma or bachelor’s degree in information science / Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field OR equivalent experience in a technical position.
  • You have experience in web and application server technologies including deployment and troubleshooting (e.g., SpringBoot, Apache HTTPD, Nginx, .Netcore).
  • You have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • You have knowledge and experience in networking including troubleshooting, HTTPS/TLS, Ingress controller, packet capture analysis, etc.
  • You have experience with Kubernetes container orchestration engines and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubectl, EKS, AKS ).
  • You understand the concepts of high availability and scalable system design.

 

Southern California Base Salary Range: $131,596-$210,554

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
