Position Overview

Pure Storage is seeking an enablement professional to lead Pure's Systems Engineer Manager enablement program.

The Senior Program Manager of Global SE Manager Enablement will take a strategic and well-executed approach to role enablement for our SE Managers (SEMs). This leader will seize the opportunity to re-imagine how we support SEMs and drive their role effectiveness. This position will work closely with Pure’s AE managers (a.k.a. DMs), Pure’s Lines of Business (LoBs), Marketing, and the Global Enablement team to enhance SEMs’ onboarding and ongoing professional and technical progress.

Aligned to our overall enablement strategy as well as our vision for an optimal customer experience, this exceptional contributor will assess, develop, and uplevel key programs and build out world-class support for these critical linchpins to presales technical managers.

This sales-critical role will report directly to the Director, Global SE and Partner Technical Enablement, in Pure’s Global Enablement group.

A critical requirement for this role is to establish credibility with Pure’s SE leadership teams and to fully understand and execute on their key needs and goals. Establishing and driving a high level of cross-team collaboration, this role will have a powerful impact on the productivity and scalability of our Pure SEMs directly and the SE community by extension.

Responsibilities

  • Directly create and reuse superior technical enablement learning and experiences for SE managers’ combined sales & technical role.
  • Support and measure program impact designed for the SEM audience including product & solution training, bootcamps and workshops, onboarding/ongoing enablement programs, accreditations and certifications (as examples).
  • Utilize a variety of industry-leading training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure high quality & scale of training / enablement programs and alignment with Global Enablement’s KPIs for effectiveness and productivity.
  • Partner with SEM stakeholders globally, aligning enablement programs for achievement of Pure’s goals for managers (e.g., technical development, team leadership, and sales campaign inspection and development).
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders in the Global Enablement team and across Pure for seamless program strategy and communication, learning experience quality, and delivery of relevant content.

Qualifications

  • Strategic, with strong learner instincts and expertise to deliver quality program management, execution, and results.
  • A bias for action with hands-on experience in sales methodologies, the technical sales process, and managerial effectiveness.
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning best practices, technical competencies, and competitive pressures.
  • Collaborative, with a demonstrated ability to understand the priorities of and to positively influence internal stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills across diverse audiences.
  • Direct and team learning program contributions that consistently enabled technical sales excellence (discovery, qualifying, forecasting, business communication, & enterprise portfolio selling); manager enablement preferred.
  • 4-6 years of enablement/sales training and/or enterprise technical sales experience; SaaS firm(s) preferred.
  • Demonstrated success with technical accreditation/certification and development programs.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Successful stakeholder management while working on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience with accreditation(s).

You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
