Moderna is seeking a Manager for Sample Management/Biobank to join our Clinical Biomarker Laboratory team. This role is pivotal in managing the logistical aspects of clinical specimen management and long-term storage, ensuring efficiency and compliance across multiple clinical projects.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Biospecimen accessioning and ordering within internal groups.
  • Tracking, delivery, and management of biospecimen shipments through LIMS.
  • Managing specimen storage conditions and locations within Bio-storage.
  • Preparing specimens for technical staff according to testing schedules and plans.
  • Implementing new technical resources for clinical specimen storage improvements.
  • Maintaining compliance with regulations and SOPs.
  • Participating in daily laboratory workflows, including quality control on instruments and scheduling maintenance with vendors.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Supporting strategic lab operation objectives and updating LIMS access for specimen accessioning.
  • Maintaining the clinical biomarker laboratory SOPs directory and participating in lab cleansing and sanitizing according to EHS policies.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related scientific discipline is required
  • Master’s degree in related scientific discipline is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant sample management including biobanking experience in CRO, biomedical institution, pharmaceutical is required
  • Experience in lab management (LIMS) and clinical specimen management are preferred
  • Ability to oversee multiple aspects of the operations
  • Previous experience in working in CLIA, GLP or diagnostics regulated laboratory is preferred
  • Attention to detail, organizational ability, judgement, and excellent communication skills
