Program Manager

This individual works closely with customers and internal personnel and will manage and resolve technical and contractual problems on specific new projects of moderate scope. Typically works with the support of a mentor and refers to policies, procedures, and practices for guidance.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Acts as primary customer contact.
  • Establishes customer rapport to facilitate company objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Leads proposal development and negotiation for new business within established guidelines.
  • Coordinates gathering and technical analysis of customer requirements.
  • Provides general coordination, timelines, and objectives for Engineering, Production Control, Manufacturing, QA, and Support organizations.
  • Participates in or develops mechanisms for establishing, monitoring, and integrating project elements, product configuration and communications concerning change management processes and decisions.
  • Negotiates project changes and incorporates changes into project control systems to maintain work statements, cost and schedule baselines.
  • Transitions projects to production and to the Marketing administrator.
  • Performs project close-out and documents lessons learned.
  • Researches and identifies program forecasts, program and/or customer funding.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or degree in similar field required.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Attention to details and accuracy are position critical.

The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $98,429 - $164,140/year.
