Job Summary

Reporting to the provost, this position provides a wide variety of administrative functions for the provost, his leadership team, and their areas. This position works closely with other Senior Administrative Assistants and assists with budgeting, providing professional and organizational development logistics, maintaining critical college documents, and updating polices and web pages.

Job Duties:

Assists with maintaining calendars and schedules.

Assists in managing departmental budget and orders departmental supplies.

Performs general support duties such as preparing correspondence, memorandums, reports, meeting minutes, filing, etc.

Serves as receptionist by greeting visitors, answering phone, distributing mail, etc.

Responds to issues and concerns that affect the individual department.

Assists with high level, confidential materials related to the department.

Manages administrative functions on behalf of the provost, his team, and their areas.

Provides professional and organizational development logistics, for example with Leadership Team, Changing Classroom Cultures Conference, and College Convocation.

Assists in maintaining the college’s web-based employee handbook and organizational charts.

Monitors and maintains unit webpages and web directories.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree (related field) and three years of related experience, or equivalent.

Excellent computer and data entry skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Web-based technology skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
