RESTAUTANT GENERAL MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Full time position
  • Reports to District Manager
  • Responsible for full restaurant operations and financial performance
  • Directs and oversees performance and training of all restaurant employees
  • Maintains correct delivery of Steak ‘n Shake procedures and policies

RESTAURANT ASSISTANT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years in the restaurant business with three (3) years minimum in a supervisory role
  • Able to work weekends and different shifts
  • Passionate about customer service and restaurant cleanliness
  • Ability to create an environment of sales growth through Guest focus and delivery of SNS procedures and policies
  • Develop, focus and motivate restaurant team to consistently deliver the SNS objectives: delighting guests, eliminating unnecessary costs and delivering outstanding quality

RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:

  • Ability to manage labor and inventory effectively
  • Ensure food is properly stored and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and recipe adherence
  • Actively manage the restaurant to ensure service, hospitality, accuracy and speed standards achieved
  • Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, security standards and procedures and Federal and State laws
  • Demonstrate effective decision making and problem solving skills that support the company Principles; Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Exceed Guest Expectations, Golden Rule, Economic Objective and Entrepreneurial Approach
  • Possess leadership and communication qualities to train, coach and inspire restaurant team to deliver exceptional service, food quality and environment to the Guest
