RESTAUTANT ASSISTANT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Full time position
  • Reports to Restaurant Manager
  • Leads shift team
  • Responsible for shift operational excellence
  • Maintains correct delivery of Steak ‘n Shake procedures and policies

RESTAURANT ASSISTANT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years’ restaurant experience
  • Able to work weekends and different shifts
  • Passionate about customer service and restaurant cleanliness
  • Ability to learn, become proficient and certified in all positions of the front and back of the house
  • Ability to read, write, perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
  • Ability to lift 20-30lbs occasionally
  • Effectively interact with Guests to ensure we exceed their expectations with the highest quality food and great service
  • Motivate all Associates to deliver great hospitality toward all guests and other associates

RESTAURANT ASSISTANT MANAGER JOB SUMMARY:

  • Execute the 14-point walk and correct deficiencies as they arise
  • Ensure food is properly stored and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and recipe adherence
  • Actively manages the shift to ensure service, hospitality, accuracy and speed standards achieved
  • Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, security standards and procedures and Federal and State laws
  • Demonstrate effective decision making and problem solving skills that support the company Principles; Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Exceed Guest Expectations, Golden Rule, Economic Objective and Entrepreneurial Approach
  • Possess leadership and communication qualities to train, coach and inspire associates to deliver exceptional service, food quality and environment to the Guest
