Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a senior level Operations Analysis / M&S Engineer, to join our team primarily working on-site in the classified spaces within MTSI's Alexandria HQ office, and secondarily in secure government facilities in the National Capitol Region. You will develop and lead detailed mission level analytic studies in support of DoD organizations responsible for rapidly developing a portfolio of capabilities needed to counter near-peer adversaries and improve the U.S. posture in engaging future threats.

Responsibilities:

As a senior level Operations Analysis / M&S Engineer, with MTSI you will be primarily responsible to develop and lead detailed mission level analytic studies in support of DoD organizations responsible for rapidly developing a portfolio of capabilities needed to counter near-peer adversaries and improve the U.S. posture in engaging future threats. These studies will principally use the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) software suite to explore advanced concepts and technologies. The position will primarily work on-site in the classified spaces within MTSI's Alexandria HQ office, and secondarily in secure government facilities in the National Capitol Region. 

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • You will work with government personnel to determine specific analysis needs, develop a study approach to address those needs and lead a small team of modeling and simulation analysts to develop the mission level models needed to accomplish study objectives. 
  • At the conclusion of the study you will present the study results to government personnel at various levels within the organization, potentially including senior level leaders within those organizations.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience using Operations Analysis principals and modeling and simulation tools to conduct studies of advanced concepts and technologies.
  • Experience briefing the results of technical studies to government personnel, to include senior level government leadership.
  • Experience and interest in coordinating, building, and working with multidisciplinary teams including MTSI other-site SMEs, outside partners, academia, contractors, and USG organizations.
  • Experience in leading study teams and executing program management tasks to including program planning, financial management and status reporting.

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience with mission-level modeling and simulation methodologies and tools i.e., (AFSIM, Suppressor, or EADSIM).

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field.
  • Master’s degree in engineering or other technical field, (Desired).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance to start.
  • Top Secret (TS) clearance / Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) experience (Desired).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Travel Requirments:

  • Periodic travel to secure government facilities in the National Capitol Region.
