Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing business compliance and operational risk and control activities. Educates and trains the business to ensure compliance with regulations. Evaluates current operations across the business to identify areas for enhancements.

Responsible for control framework for credit strategy communication, including consistency across multiple credit risk teams. Use process documentation and controls from multiple business units to ensure correct credit strategy communication is generated. Identify and propagate best practices in processes and controls for credit strategy letters. As needed, simplify processes, enhance documentation, and train business teams.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provides education and monitors the business on requirements of company policies and standards related to risk and control ownership. Develops and implements job aids and tools to facilitate efficient completion of policy and standard requirements.
  • Identifies and implements effective controls to manage operational, financial, and compliance risks. Maintains an accurate library of risks and controls. Performs control design reviews and compliance risk assessments. Monitor the risk and control environment for weaknesses and identify solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of controls. Executes control testing plans.
  • Leads the completion of projects. Develops, implements, and administers control standardization and workflow solutions. Creates continuous monitoring exception reports for critical business processes. Catalogs and reviews controls related to credit risk letters across multiple business units and brings best practices across credit risk teams. Partners with Business Intelligence team to streamline reporting across business units.
  • Leads credit risk communication improvement projects. Analyzes monthly reporting to identify trends. Proposes solutions to ensure consistency across multiple business units and compliance with multiple regulatory obligations.
  • Manages process improvements projects for credit risk communication process. Facilitates process mapping across multiple business units to identify best practices and implement opportunities for enhanced controls.
  • Creates and distributes monthly risk reporting and complaints data. Leads customer complaint remediation projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Financial services, Marketing, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations or Vendor Management areas or related.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in financial services, Marketing, Compliance, Internal Audit Operations or Vendor Management areas or related.
  • Experience with using controls to identify trends and address root causes.
  • Experience with process mapping and enhancing controls/monitoring within the process.
  • Familiarity with credit risk principles and regulations.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
