Hadrian — Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies make rockets, jets, and satellites 10x faster and 2x cheaper. Our CEO, Chris Power, discusses the importance of what we're building in this video.

We are a lean but mighty team (and growing!) people that are passionate about building critical infrastructure to support the nation and the advancement of humanity.

To support our ambitious vision, we have raised > $200M from Lux Capital, A16Z, Founders Fund, Construct Capital, Caffeinated Capital, and more.

About this role

As a foundational software engineer on our robotics team, you will lead the charge on a variety of projects writing software to schedule and coordinate autonomous hardware in our factory. Examples of possible work include everything from task management of multi-robot systems to building interfaces for loading and unloading parts between machining operations.

You will be challenged to think creatively and solve never before seen problems. You will work cross functionally with production experts and machining specialists to develop novel solutions working toward fully automated factories.

In this role you will:

  • Scope, architect, implement, and deploy critical applications that will drive revenue and make a positive impact in the world
  • Write robust, reliable software to coordinate robots and other machines
  • Build seamless software services to interface robots with factory management systems
  • Integrate third party APIs and software libraries into new and existing systems
  • Get to build alongside an incredible team of engineers, operators, and the best machinists/CAM programmers in the world

This might be a good fit if you:

  • Have extensive experience shipping modern, full-stack applications (our front-ends are React/Next/Typescript and back-ends are Typescript and Python)
  • Are self-motivated and eager to get hands-on and tackle challenges independently while working collaboratively toward identified objectives
  • Work with a hacker mentality – driven to find answers and solve problems even if it demands reverse engineering systems to get the most out of every feature
  • Take responsibility and ownership finding solutions no matter what
  • Deploy your broad experience and big picture view to fix undreamed of problems with innovative solutions
  • Have experience writing software that integrates with hardware, like robots and CNC machines
  • Feel passionate about making things move in the real world with software
  • Are excited to work in a fast-paced environment with high-stakes and quick iteration cycles
  • Are a highly effective communicator when speaking or writing, especially when presenting technical information
  • Can work from our Los Angeles Factory (Torrance)

Compensation and Benefits

For this role, the target salary range is $150,000 - $275,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).

This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

In addition to salary and equity, we offer:
