Work where you play! Be a part-time staff member for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission's Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation.

We are looking to hire staff members to support our 60 and better Senior Services programs. Work part-time during the day and weekends too. We are currently hiring Customer Services Representatives and Center Support staff for daily center operations and special events.

The positions are in our 7 Senior Activity Centers located throughout Prince George’s County:

  • Camp Springs Senior Activity Center, Camp Springs
  • Evelyn Cole Senior Activity Center, Seat Pleasant
  • Gwendolyn Britt Senior Activity Center, North Brentwood
  • John E. Howard Senior Activity Center, Capitol Heights
  • Langley Park Senior Activity Center, Langley Park
  • Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center, Laurel
  • Southern Area Aquatics and Recreation Complex, Brandywine

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age (age 21 in some cases). Some positions require the applicant to be able to lift to 25 pounds and the capability of setting up and moving tables and chairs for special event set up and breakdown. 

Supplemental Information

Starting salary range of $15-$20 depending on the position and your experience.

May be subject to medical, drug and alcohol testing.

The following information is a summary of benefits extended to all Seasonal employees of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). This is for informational purposes only and is subject to change.

Limited Benefits for Seasonal Employees

Health Insurance Plans

You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period.

If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office.

Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.
