Job Overview:
As the SAP MDS Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision and roadmap for our SAP MDS system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP Master Data Management, a keen understanding of business requirements, and the ability to drive the implementation of MDS features that align with organisational goals.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Vision:
- Develop and communicate the strategic vision for the SAP Master Data Services system.
- Create and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with business objectives and supports data governance initiatives.
Requirement Definition and Prioritisation:
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define and prioritise Master Data Services requirements.
- Analyse and prioritise feature requests, enhancements, and defect resolutions.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with SAP architects, developers, data stewards, and business analysts to ensure the seamless integration of MDS with other SAP modules and business processes.
- Foster collaboration and communication across teams to achieve common goals.
Feature Development and Release Planning:
- Prioritise features and enhancements based on business value and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to plan and execute releases in alignment with business priorities.
Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Define acceptance criteria for user stories and ensure that delivered features meet the specified criteria.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop testing strategies and validate the quality of SAP MDS system releases.
User Training and Support:
- Develop user training materials and conduct training sessions for SAP MDS system users.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to end-users, addressing questions and issues related to the SAP MDS system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or related degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role, with a focus on SAP Master Data Services.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Master Data Management concepts, principles, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools.
- Certification in SAP or related field is a plus.
