Responsibilities

Crash Champions is seeking a Data Architect to lead the data architecture, design, implement, and maintain data solutions that support the data and reporting strategy of the enterprise. You will work with the data team and reporting team members and the IT leadership to ensure that the data architecture meets the business needs and aligns with the best practices. You will also develop and oversee data developers and Data Warehouse over the SQL Server architecture, especially Stored Procedures and SSIS, to create data solutions. You should have extensive experience with this platform and be able to demonstrate your skills and knowledge. As part of the Data Analytics team, you will play a key role in driving data-driven decisions and insights across the organization.

  • Manages existing architecture
  • Develops and maintains new data solutions, data models and ETL processes, using SQL skills to optimize, tune, and ensure data quality and consistency. Tests, documents, automates, and deploys all code and database objects.
  • Ensures the quality of the data development team and the data solutions
  • Mentors and guides data developers in a cross-functional team with the reporting developers and communicates insights and technical solutions to business functional leaders.
  • Communicates and collaborates with business and IT stakeholders to design and implement data solutions for analysis, reporting, and interfaces, aligning with the organization’s goals and strategies.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a technical lead of a data warehouse team with excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with multiple business functions.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure SQL Server, Data Warehouse and T-SQL scripting and query optimization.
  • Familiar with Master Data Services and data governance principles
  • Skilled in MS BI Stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) and data visualization tools
  • Power BI
  • Knowledge of GIT Source Control and best practices
  • Extensive knowledge and experience implementing ETL design patterns for data warehousing, including Kimball methodology and different source data types like SQL Server, Excel, Flat Files, APIs, etc.
  • Strong analytical ability, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and data validation and documentation of methods, procedures, and standards.
  • Full lifecycle development (SDLC) skills using Azure DevOps, GIT in a fast paced, dynamic environment with changing deadlines and requirements.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of daily experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and development
  • Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
