We are currently seeking a talented and energetic District Sales Manager to join the Rockfon Sales team with a territory focus on IL, WI, MO, NE and KS. The candidate will be based out of the Chicago metro area.

Rockfon, part of ROCKWOOL Group, offers advanced acoustic ceilings and wall solutions to create beautiful, comfortable spaces.

What You Will Be Doing

This position reports directly to the District Sales Manager

  • Sell Rockfon products at the best mix of average sales price and volume
  • Develop and execute Rockfon market strategies, both short and long term, while working directly with the Contractors (40%), Distributors (40%), Architects (10%) and Administrative (10%) within your given geography selling and specifying Rockfon products
  • Present new products and conduct AIA presentations to Architects, designers and end users
  • Additional responsibilities include: account management including merchandising, updating binders, installing and maintaining displays, ensuring good price points, and stock checking

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Business or a relevant field. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in Commercial non Residential sales preferred 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a technical sales environment.
  • Project Management skills
  • Excellent Presentation Skills
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Very skilled at building and maintaining high level relationships and networks within the Contractor, Distributor and Architecture industry. 
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
