The Role: 

J.D. Power is seeking an innovative and results-oriented commercial and go-to-market leader. The China Sales Head is a critical and highly visible role in the organization accountable for driving profitable long-term growth through existing and potential clients. Utilizing emerging best practices, advanced approaches, and proven methodologies, this role will lead the creation and implementation of emerging best-in-class sales, sales operations, sales enablement, and marketing strategies to be delivered throughout the company.

The Impact:

Working closely with the China President and the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Sales will hold responsibility for revenue creation activities including sales team management. In addition, this person will set the direction for accelerated growth and value creation both strategically and tactically. Specifically, this leader will be accountable for the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, coach, develop, and manage sales team to achieve/exceed performance goals.
  • Identify immediate and longer-term market trends and customer needs, and provide inputs to company’s new product development initiatives.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic revenue growth plan to improve market penetration and grow market share, eventually lead to sustainable growth.
  • Foster the entrepreneurial spirit of the sales team and motivate the team to develop new segments and clients.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders in the development and sharing of account strategy and coaching best practices.
  • Develop an organizational structure and compensation model for the sales team that will effectively drive performance and behavior.

Qualifications:

General Experience and Competency:

  • Experiences of sales management as a people manager with coaching and leadership skills.
  • Experiences with service firm/tech firm(服务/科技公司)and good client relationship with OEM companies.
  • Ability to connect and engage the middle/senior management of clients (部长及总监级别 Division Head/Director).
  • Sales management and leadership skills.
  • Solution selling experience with good sales track record (i.e. development and close the deal).
  • Aggressive with high Energy level and entrepreneurship.
  • Fast pace but maintain certain maturity.
  • Go-global market exposure 有汽车行业出海相关经验.

Commercial Orientation:

  • Possessing a highly customer-centric outlook, regularly spending time with senior-level client executives developing relationships and understanding their challenges
  • Taking special actions in the interest of the customer and identifying creatives ways to add value
  • Developing a deep understanding of market fundamentals including technology, services, customers, and competitors, and the ability to capitalize on the opportunities presented in different markets.
  • Viewing the commercial function through the lens of value creation – prioritizing clients, services and activities that best align with profitability or other key value drivers (both short and long term)

  • Driving uncompromisingly for higher performance, implementing improved ways of doing things, overcoming obstacles, and delivering sustainable results that stand out in the market.

  • Building trusting, mutually beneficial and long-term relationships with colleagues, partners and customers, showing others how their objectives align.
  • Understanding the strengths and motivations of others, using persuasion rather than authority to influence outcomes and enlisting others in advancing the interests of the business.
  • Developing positive, open and collaborative relations with Boards, investors and partners, bringing up uncomfortable issues of importance to discuss and resolve them.
