About the job
As a Vonage Data Engineer, you will be part of our backend team, playing a major role in designing and architecting the database platform and will work in AWS cloud with different services like RDS Aurora, Elasticache, MSK, DynamoDb, EC2, S3 and MongoDb
You will be responsible for database tuning and query performance, architecture and implementation of high availability strategies, database schema change automation and monitoring.
We challenge Data Engineers to get into the boots of a platform engineer and work with infrastructure as code, automating the creation of databases in the cloud.

What You Must Have Experience In
- At least 3 years production experience with Postgres & MongoDb (installation, upgrades, tuning and replication)
- Deep knowledge on queries execution concepts in relational databases
- Experience with cloud services
- 3+ years of experience in data related roles
What You’re Good At
- No-sql, Redis, AWS RDS Aurora, ELK Stack, Kafka streaming, DynamoDB, Snowflake or similar
- Data ETL, data warehousing, performance profiling and analysis
- Database operations (monitoring, data migrations, backup & recovery)
