Your Impact

  • Utilize knowledge of water/wastewater engineering to manage and design projects that involve domestic and industrial wastewater treatment, water system analysis and design (supply, storage and distribution), new and rehabilitation of pump stations (raw water, water booster, wastewater and storm water), onsite wastewater treatment and disposal systems, and sewer separation, among others.).
  • Direct and review work products prepared by junior engineering staff including engineering plans and specifications, technical reports, permit applications, and related calculations, designs, and evaluations.
  • Direct and/or perform field visits and site reconnaissance as dictated by project requirements.
  • Manage project scope, schedule and budget while verifying quality and safety protocols are met.
  • Drive technical excellence.
  • Develop client relationships, identify opportunities, preposition, and prepare proposals. 
  • Mentor staff to support their growth and professional development.
  • Support execution of our One Water growth strategy to expand WSP’s water service offerings, including stormwater management, coastal/interior flood risk mitigation, water supply and conveyance, water and wastewater treatment, dam/levee/embankment infrastructure, resiliency planning, ecosystem restoration, and water tunnels. 
  • Strengthen WSP’s brand through engaging in professional organizations and giving presentations at industry events. 
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in water resources and/or civil engineering, with at least 10 years of related experience in New England.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) in MA. 
  • Strong analytical and design skills. Extensive experience in the planning, design and construction of multi-discipline projects as well as experience in client development.
  • Commitment to internal and external client service.
  • Staff development mindset with strong mentoring/teaching skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Collaborative, drives consensus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Must be flexible to a variety of schedules to meet business needs and able to prioritize responsibilities and quickly adapt to change in a pressure work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
