PandaDoc, a leader in document workflow automation, is on the lookout for a Principal Product Designer to join our user experience team. This role is pivotal as we continue to reimagine our industry and uplevel our teams.

As a Principal Product Designer, you will play a key hands-on leadership role within our Design team and across the R&D organization in general. Your expertise will guide designers and design direction, set the bar for quality, and ensure our solutions exceed user expectations.

In this role, you will focus on:

  • Design Execution and Leadership: Hands-on design execution, steering the design direction, and setting quality standards
  • Strategy and Innovation: Shaping product strategy in alignment with PandaDoc’s vision and spearheading design innovations that address user needs and business goals.
  • Mentorship: Fostering the professional growth of our design team, encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Collaboration: Enhancing the design process efficiency by working closely with Product Managers and Engineers.
  • Advocacy: Promoting design principles and user-centered design philosophy across the organization.

About you:

  • Highly skilled at interaction design, visual design, information architecture, and design systems, and passionate about helping others grow in these areas. 
  • Your strong relationship-building skills enable effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. You can influence product strategy and articulate a clear design vision.
  • A track record of understanding user needs by integrating user research into your design process. Experienced in gathering and using qualitative and quantitative user research to inform design decisions
  • Demonstrated experience in designing complex software for businesses, with a focus on delivering user-friendly solutions.
  • Proficient in interaction and visual design, information architecture, and design systems. You are confident in Figma and familiar with other design tools.
  • A history of mentoring designers and enhancing their performance.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (in English), with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to a diverse audience.
  • You have a portfolio that exemplifies high-quality visual and UX design. Typical candidates have 6+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Bonus points if you have experience in eSign or workflow builders. 

Joining PandaDoc

The interview process will consist of three rounds of interviews to ensure mutual fit, including conversations with our recruiting team, design leadership, and cross-functional partners. A whiteboard exercise may be part of the evaluation to showcase your problem-solving and collaboration skills.
