Oracle is seeking an energetic and motivated engineer to be part of a team building the next generation of cloud based AI applications. These applications will use the aggregated data from Oracle Cloud Services and other business-related data sources to drive automated outcomes in a number of horizontal and vertical application segments. Your role will be to help internal application teams to build AI features on our platform to deploy them in Oracle Cloud. Our technology stack includes various services from Oracle Cloud Infrastructure including Kubernetes, Docker, Data Flow (spark), ATP and Object Storage.

Successful candidates should be able to:

Treat consuming applications teams as customers and help drive AI Features development

Solve problems in robust and creative ways

Work in an environment with a significant number of unknowns

Work with agile development techniques

Collaborate across a number of development teams to deliver our applications

Work globally in a geographically dispersed team

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with designing and coding responsive applications

Demonstrate excellent technical problem-solving skills

Ability to work across teams in a large organization

Being enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a great collaborator

Successful candidates must have a BS or MS degree or equivalent higher degree and at least 5 years of post-graduate experience as a software engineer/developer.

Skills and Experience

Must have at least 3 years Java experience, Python knowledge desirable

Good knowledge/experience in Spring Framework, Kubernetes

Expertise in enterprise software development.

Proficient in writing clean, modular, and testable code that is scalable and secure.

Must have good understanding of Tools: maven, GIT, Jenkins

Some experience in ATP (Oracle DB), Object Storage

Understand Micro-services architecture, cloud deployments

Some exposure to Data Science

Good written and verbal communication skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications in cloud systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
