Responsibilities

Weatherford has a opening in Houston, TX for a Quality Documentation Specialist that will be responsible for compiling and uploading documentation into Weatherford systems. The Quality Documentation Specialist is responsible for reviewing traceability packages. This role works with cross functional business units as a key member of the team to ensure that documentation is complete to ensure success.

  • Seeks continual improvement in Health, Safety, Security & protection of the Environment, taking into account responsible care, process vulnerabilities, public, customer and employee inputs, knowledge and technology and best business practices to exceed customer expectations

QUALITY

  • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System
  • Maintains project quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement
  • Responsible to ensure QMS is followed in accordance with product requirements through API and other Quality standards including independent third-party witness

OPERATIONS

  • Implement strategic techniques to mitigate potential documentation risks and promote maximum productivity.
  • Review documentation output from manufacturing and suppliers in accordance with engineering drawings, quality plans and order requirements.

COMMUNICATION

  • Serve as documentation representative with client, contractors, and vendors during project reviews, meetings, and correspondences
  • Collaborate with internal team and vendors to ensure all documentation meets the requirements and is delivered promptly

FINANCIAL

  • All employees have an accountability to the organisation to be financially responsible whether they are in charge of a function budget or simply their own expenses
  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

Qualifications

Experience & Education

REQUIRED

  • 5+ years’ Quality Documentation experience
  • Competent in the use of computer software applications used for administration, including Microsoft Suite and Adobe
  • Experience scanning, uploading and maintaining records 

PREFERRED

  • Experience in Oil & Gas
  • Proficient in reviewing mill test reports, NDE reports, and other quality documentation.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, API Q1 and Q2 requirements
  • Experience with JDE and Microsoft Project

REQUIRED

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal & external stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision or direction
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks in a high energy environment
  • Requires excellent verbal, technical writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner, and to work collaboratively in a team-focused atmosphere
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat and ERP systems 

Travel Requirement:

This role may require domestic and international travel of up to: <10%
