Research Lab Tech II DOM Men's Health - (3269074)
Research Program in Men's Health: Aging and Metabolism seeks highly motivated and creative candidates for a full-time
research position. The group works on the interface of biophysics, biochemistry and translational research to develop
novel approaches to examine aging associated conditions. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for development
of novel tools for non-invasive imaging and characterization of preclinical research models and biophysical spectroscopy.
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Protein biochemistry, molecular
biology, and biophysical spectroscopy. The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm for collaboration and responsible
execution of projects.
1. The candidate will be responsible for general laboratory management
2. Submission and maintenance of animal protocols and other laboratory compliance
3. Regular animal handling, tissue collection and processing
4. Present research data for discussion and publication
Creative and motivated, to work independently and multitask with strong laboratory and analytical training. Will be required
to present research data at regular meetings. Must have excellent organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
1+ year of Research experience post Bachelors degree required
BS Required, MS Preferred. in Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry, Biochemistry or molecular Biology. Candidates with laboratory experience with an PhD degree in these disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
