Roles and Responsibilities:

• Technical design and implementation of production ready code, partnering closely with rest of team (Engineers, QA, Solution Manager )
• Troubleshoot, resolve and research production issues as well as work with development to make enhancements and fix bugs
• Work closely within the team to define feature priorities, deliveries, and product schedules
• Help Integrate POS with payment hardware and configuration
• Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends
• Participate in requirements gathering and documentation
• Lead the non-functional aspects of the solution which includes security and performance
• Live and breathe the agile mindset and work in a fast paced scrum environment
• Consistently deliver quality shippable software to our customers, being part of our Agile development team
• Produce technical documentation as needed.
• Help foster a culture of knowledge building across the team

Qualifications and Skills required:

• Significant experience (5 years) in an object-oriented language. ( Delphi preferred)
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Server operations/usage (not management, though that would be a plus)
• Significant experience working in a large software product throughout its lifecycle -- from conception into release and into support
• Clear understanding core object-oriented development principles
• Demonstrated trouble-shooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Experience with source control tools (TFS, GitHub, SVN, etc.)
• Ability to train / mentor others -- through code reviews, ad-hoc presentations, or more formal procedures
• Familiarity with standard Windows operations, including software installation, basic device setup, basic troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Agile Methodologies and SCRUM

Experience in the following preferred but not required:

• Win32 development experience
• Delphi experience is a plus
• Crystal Reports experience
• Experience in credit-card / payments development / issues
• Web Services/API development
• Experience with virtual machines
