ISE Network and Security Engineering

ISE Network and Security Engineering is the department under Integrated Solutions Engineering, responsible for offering standardized PCCW Global Security solutions to external customers and acts as the Network and Security Engineering for internal PCCW Global needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, implementation and standardization of PCCW Global Solutions offerings.
  • Responsible for documenting existing and new services
  • Work closely with Product Management to:
  • Translate business requirements into technical offerings
  • Showcase integration capabilities
  • Test functions and services
  • Validate offerings
  • Document services
  • Work closely with Presales to:
  • Explain/clarify existing network and security services
  • Train them on new network and security services
  • Work closely with Operations for:
  • Escalated issue resolutions
  • Train them on new services
  • Follow hand-off procedures
  • Work closely with solution vendors for defining services and resolving identified issues
  • Enforce common design principals are followed to ensure:
  • Compliance with standards
  • Continuous service delivery
  • Limit attack surface through design approaches

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven working experience of 5+ years
  • Working experience in multi-language, multi-cultural environments
  • Working experience in large multi-vendor network environments
  • Working experience with Networking devices (e.g Cisco, Juniper)
  • Working experience with but not limited to:
  • Routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP)
  • Firewalls (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint)
  • Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems
  • Forward Proxies (e.g. Squid, WSA, ZSCALER)
  • Anti-Virus Solutions
  • Web Application Firewalls (e.g. F5, Fortinet, RADWARE)
  • Privileged Administration Management solutions
  • Email gateway solutions (e.g. ESA)
  • SD-WAN (e.g. Velocloud, Fortinet)
  • Working experience with common internet protocols (DNS, HTTP/S, SMTP, DNS, SNMP, etc)
  • Working experience with common enterprise technologies (RADIUS, LDAP/S, KERBEROS, SAML)
  • Extensive background experience with performance monitoring technologies/solutions (commercial or open-source)
  • In depth network design knowledge for integrating network based security solutions.
  • Linux and Windows Server configuration and troubleshooting
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or related field

Highly valued Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Vendor certifications (NSE4 and above, CCNP, etc)
  • Coding/scripting knowledge is considered a plus (python, bash, etc)
