Position Overview
Mi9 Retail is seeking an experienced C/C++ developer to work in our core product development team. The developer will contribute to various modules of our point of sale (POS) system. This role can be based anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). It is a work-from-home environment. The compensation will match your level of experience. We will consider a qualified candidate for a full-time or a contract position.
What you will be doing:
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reliable, and fast C/C++/C# code
- Actively engage and collaborate with other developers, QA, services, and support
- Identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions
- Contribute to design, architecture, development standards as well as best practices
- Participate in peer code reviews
- Follow through to completion of the assigned tasks on time to respect team’s commitments to our clients

What you bring to the table:
- Superior attention to detail and focus on task completion to the requirement
- Extensive experience writing and debugging C/C++ code (5+ years)
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
- Working knowledge of C# is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is a significant plus
- Retail business knowledge (specifically POS) is preferred
