The Sales Manager role is responsible for inside and outside business development efforts in the region specified by the Company and senior leadership. 

What You Will Do:

  • Takes an active role in implementing this strategy, including acquiring new business through outside sales (new business) and inside sales (add-on sales to existing clients).
  • Works to achieve revenue targets set forth by Company leadership. 
  • Prepares professionally accepted proposals and contracts to present to existing and prospective new clients.
  • Moves opportunities to closure with follow-up meetings, presentations, calls, and web demos.
  • Maintains close relationships/communications with ABS Country Managers, District Managers, and Regional Vice President of assigned region. 
  • Maintains close relationships with key industry contacts, including business partners, clients, and prospective clients.
  • Prepares and presents professionally accepted PowerPoint presentations to clients and prospective clients. 
  • Prepares and presents live demonstrations of any or all solutions; demonstrates all significant features of all modules.
  • Travels frequently throughout the region assigned, visiting existing and prospective clients.
  • Assists in setting up and attending trade shows, conferences, regional seminars, and exhibitions.: 
  • Performs weekly updates of all sales activities in the global CRM system used by ABS, including but not limited to entering all new business opportunities, updating the status of existing opportunities, uploading any proposals and contracts related to the opportunities, and entering trip reports for all visits to existing and prospective clients. 

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree combined with relevant work experience and training.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of sales experience in a relevant field. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proven history of generating proposals and contracts.
  • Proven history of closing business deals.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within the region assigned. 
  • Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills. 
  • Must demonstrate existing relationships and contacts in the marine industry.
  • Ability to use all MS Office products and other communications technology or media.
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, related instructions, and the ABS Employee Safety Policy.

This role reports to a senior-level manager and has no direct reports.
