Based in the heart of NYC, we're on the hunt for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our growing team.

About the CFO Role 

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic CFO to lead our financial operations and strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management, investment strategy, Board of Directors reporting, and serve as a member of the executive team and global operating team.

In this role, you will work on

Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on capital allocation, budgeting, and forecasting to drive informed decision-making.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks while identifying opportunities for growth and optimization

Financial Operations:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
  • Manage the budgeting process, monitor financial performance, and implement effective cost control measures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for the executive team, board of directors and investors

Investor Relations and Funding and Board of Directors Reporting:

  • Act as a key liaison with existing and potential investors, providing transparent and accurate financial information.
  • Play a pivotal role in fundraising efforts, including the company’s impending Series B funding round, by preparing and presenting financial models, projections, and investor presentations.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Partnerships:

  • Lead financial due diligence for potential acquisitions or partnerships, assessing financial viability and synergy potential.
  • Drive post-M&A integration efforts to achieve seamless financial and operational alignment.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in financial regulations, adapting the company's financial strategies accordingly.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, data transparency, professional development, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on financial matters, fostering a strong sense of financial literacy across the organization.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success as a CFO in high-growth PLG or SaaS company, with experience in Series B or later funding stages, is required.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, subscription-based revenue recognition, and recurring revenue streams.
  • Experience with GTM finance and management
  • Exceptional financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic financial initiatives and contribute to overall business strategy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Prior experience with investor relations and fundraising required. 
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, as well as advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The current range for this role is $350K - $400K + meaningful equity.
