Principal Product Solutions Architect - DDoS Solutions

The A10 product management team is expanding and defining new software, hardware and SaaS solutions. The product solutions architect team is a new team being formed inside the Product Management organization. This team of technical experts will be a source of knowledge for customers, corporate SE and field teams and facilitate customer feedback, working with Engineers, Product Managers, pre-sales solutions architects, the Corp and field SE teams. This team will be the driver that amplifies the efforts of the field SE and Corp SE teams new A10 products are brought into market.

A10 is the leader in infrastructure security and application delivery solutions. The largest service providers, hyperscalers and enterprises leverage A10 HW and SW solutions in the data path for production traffic.

The A10 product management team is expanding and defining new software, hardware and SaaS solutions. The product solutions architect team is a new team being formed inside the Product Management organization. This team of technical experts will be a source of knowledge for customers, corporate SE and field teams and facilitate customer feedback, working with Engineers, Product Managers, the Corp SE and field SE teams. The DDoS Principal Product Solutions Architect plays a critical role to insert A10 DDoS solutions in enterprise and service provider environments for mitigation, detection and threat control. 

Role Description and Impact to the Business 

• Collaborate with the PM team in creating MVP such that all relevant items for customer acceptance are covered; This would include deployment scenarios and integration with 3rd party components
• Test Early Access and Technology Release code from engineering by deploying all components in the lab for customer experience, completeness of features/capabilities and completeness of documentation
• Validate use cases with Early Access and Technical Release code and identify if the code is on the path to meet the customer MVP
• Own the whole creation and dissemination of validated reference designs (VRDs), POC guidance templates (suggestions on how to create a PoC with the use case) and notes on how to respond to RFPs
• Compile a set of reference guides of A10 DDoS use cases and architectural deployments
• Own product and scale sizing to ensure proper sizing of A10 detection and mitigation solutions in customer environments
• Educate customers by developing demo videos and whiteboards
• Lower barrier for product insertion by creating and maintaining live demos for use by the broader A10 technical and sales engineering communities
• For technology partnerships, validate use cases and create the relevant VRD
• Collaborate with the PM and field teams to suggest partnership opportunities that add value to the A10 solutions

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent skills, and minimum 10+ years of experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, TAC manager or TME or Architect, preferably in cybersecurity company
• Demonstrable experience with DDoS technologies related to mitigation, detection, DDoS weapons and attack types
• Experience in service provider MSPP use cases and enterprise Cloud Scrubbing solutions
• Experience in hybrid and cloud-only use cases related to DDoS
• Experience with cloud Security, cryptography (e.g. TLS 1.3), application layer (L7) DDoS
• Knowledge of NIST and other organizational recommendations related to DDoS
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage a number of projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated success in earning trust across a broad variety of stakeholders
• Experience communicating security architecture to sales teams and sales leaders
• Experience in testing VM or container software with working knowledge of VMware ESX, KVM, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, DPDK
• Experience with testing HW and SW leveraging traffic generators 
• Proven prior experience writing validated reference designs (VRDs) and reference architectures
• Prior experience working with Product Owners in an Agile/Scrum product delivery environment
• Experience in agile development framework a plus
