THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION BASED IN WASHINGTON D.C. 

THE ROLE

As a Marketing and Site Manager, you will play an integral part in driving traffic, increasing user engagement, and tracking and improving overall site health. This includes but is not limited to elevating the quality of the site and its performance across a variety of facets. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that’s impact driven and has extensive experience maintaining and elevating a B2C content driven website. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Increasing traffic, engagement and key conversions through SEO best practices and quality content to reach students world-wide
  • Delivering a steady stream of informative content that engages users by writing and working with freelancers 
  • Ensuring consistent and compelling brand tone across all customer communications for user continuity 
  • Managing email newsletter content to drive key metrics and deliver the best possible resources to our audience 
  • Monitoring and maintaining site health including all site products to ensure optimal performance world-wide, consistent resources and ongoing reliability amongst our audience 
  • Working with departments throughout the organization for results-driven partner promotion 

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience producing B2C marketing content in financial services, consumer finance, or a similar industry
  • Experience working in an international context and addressing a diverse global audience with a strong sense of cultural sensitivity is a must
  • A data-driven approach that is closely aligned with the MPOWER mission and having impactful results that reach students around the globe 
  • A strong understanding of SEO best practices and a step-by-step approach to increasing web traffic while maintaining site health metrics and aligning with brand standards and values
  • A self-starter with an ownership mindset who is comfortable juggling multiple projects at once
  • Superior communication, presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to pick up product details with ease
  • Able to produce deliverables on a tight deadline amongst competing priorities

A passion for financial inclusion and access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple time zones and locations!

In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast growth environment, within a small agile team, embracing fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload, tight deadlines, and a high degree of autonomy.
