Job title:

As a Generative AI Compliance Specialist within our Generative AI foundational team, you will assume a critical role in ensuring adherence to all compliance domains related to Generative AI technology. Your responsibilities will encompass Privacy, Legal, Intellectual Property, Quality and Regulatory, Export Controls, and other pertinent areas. By working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in promoting ethical and responsible use of generative AI while navigating complex compliance landscapes.

Your role:

1. Privacy Compliance:

  • Collaborate with legal and privacy teams to ensure that generative AI systems adhere to global privacy regulations.
  • Implement and monitor privacy policies and procedures specific to generative AI technologies.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating privacy risks.

2. Legal Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations impacting generative AI, providing guidance to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with legal experts to draft and review contracts, licenses, and agreements involving generative AI technologies.
  • Address legal challenges related to AI model outputs and usage.

3. Intellectual Property Protection:

  • Work closely with intellectual property experts to ensure proper protection of AI-related innovations and inventions.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify and mitigate potential intellectual property risks.

4. Quality and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain compliance frameworks for quality standards in generative AI development.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to navigate and comply with industry-specific regulations applicable to generative AI.

5. Export Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with export control regulations pertaining to the international transfer of generative AI technologies.
  • Collaborate with relevant authorities to secure necessary approvals for international projects and collaborations.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with technical teams, including AI researchers and engineers, to integrate compliance considerations into the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance milestones are met throughout the project lifecycle.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance efforts and outcomes.
  • Generate regular reports for leadership, summarizing compliance status and potential areas for improvement.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in law, compliance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in compliance roles, preferably within the technology or AI industry.
  • Familiarity with privacy laws, intellectual property regulations, quality standards, and export control requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
