Tenet3® is seeking a talented Solutions Engineer. You will rapidly create knowledge models using our state-of-the-art technology stack. You will work with other Tenet3 team members to model, simulate, and assess complex system digital representations. Our modeling approaches span from the microelectronic component level, through software and hardware models, up through system level models. Your efforts will advance digital twin, digital thread, and related systems engineering methodologies. 

Our Solutions Team is staffed by enthusiastic scientists, engineers, and analysts who define the state-of-the-art in quantitative knowledge management methods and analytics. The team develops, refines, and matures our technology stack to field cutting edge solutions for our customers. The capabilities we field emphasize model-based system engineering, machine learning applications, statistical and mathematical modeling, and software/hardware systems analysis and reversing.

Job Duties

  • Apply MBSE tools and methodologies to support the design, analysis, and verification of complex aerospace systems
  • Incorporate MBSE techniques and tools into existing engineering workflows
  • Assess the utility of MBSE models and simulation tools
  • Support testing, validation, and verification of MBSE tools and models
  • Develop use-cases, recommendations, and best practices for knowledge modeling
  • Connect multifaceted and disparate information concerning the design, build, operation, and maintenance of system software, firmware, hardware components, boards, line replaceable units, subsystems, and systems for systems and security engineering
  • Support special studies for topics of interest
  • Critique threat analyses and risk-based assessments
  • Analyze using tabular or graphical techniques including Tenet3's MeTRA® software
  • Deliver summary results to various levels of an organization in formats which are easy to understand, showing conclusions and relationships
  • Create cogent writing and presentations to effectively convey complex ideas
  • Create quantitative metrics leveraging engineering tools to analyze complex trends
  • Manipulate and communicate knowledge via data visualization tools
  • Communicate solutions to leadership orally and in writing, clearly and accurately
  • Participate in technical reviews and presentations to stakeholders
  • Travel expected to be up to 10%

Necessary Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
  • Excellent writing, public speaking, and verbal communication skills
  • Team-player attitude, willing to accept and offer direction

  • Demonstrated experience and subject matter expertise in one or more of the following:
  • System modeling methods
  • Digital engineering methods
  • Model-based system engineering tools
  • Computer-based mathematical representations of SW/HW architectures
  • Modeling and simulation
  • Semantic modeling and ontologies
  • Property graph modeling
  • SysML
  • Ability to work as part of a team to produce deliverables with high-quality writing in a short time frame using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (familiarity with LaTeX and Markdown preferred)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Defense Top Secret Security Clearance

Education and Experience

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Associates with demonstrated job experience
  • 2+ years working in engineering disciplines employing modeling and simulation
