Tenet3® is seeking a talented Software Developer to develop and implement code, integrating tools in an exciting new Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) effort. You will be part of a diverse team of practitioners that will be the focal point for direct, hands-on consulting with Air Force programs to address challenges across the digital engineering space. This position requires technical skills with a mix of strategic thinking and entrepreneurial spirit. You will be supporting the establishment of the Digital Innovation and Integration Center of Excellence (DIICE) at the Air Force Institute of Technology Center (AFIT). DIICE will address the pressing strategic and practical needs facing programs as they negotiate the digital acquisition environment. All candidates with relevant skills, experience, and degree levels will be considered.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Consult with programs in these areas
• Provide technical expertise and support to engineers and scientists on MBSE tools and techniques
• Digital twin applications
• Collaborate with system engineering teams to ensure integration of MBSE tools and models meet system requirements
• Integrate MBSE tools and methodologies into existing engineering processes
• Develop and implement code for integrating digital MBSE tools and models into engineering workflows
• Implement/integrate MBSE tools and models into existing engineering software
• Develop, maintain, and update MBSE models and simulation tools
• Support the testing and validation of MBSE tools and models
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues related to MBSE tools and models
• Support establishment of DIICE, including its mission, vision, strategic planning, and metrics
• Develop processes and procedures for program consultation and support
• Participate in technical reviews and presentations to stakeholders
• Apply lessons learned to program interactions, planning, and risk assessments
• Support special studies for topics of interest
• Communicate solutions to leadership orally and in writing, clearly and accurately
• Develop recommendations, best practices, and case studies
• Potential to present at technical conferences and to USAF leadership
• Travel expected to be up to 10%

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Practical software development experience
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, and MATLAB
• Experience with software development CI/CD processes and GitLab
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
• Excellent writing, public speaking, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years practical and related digital engineering experience
• Experience with MBSE modeling methods such as property graphs, ontologies, SysML, AADL, and/or tools such as CAMEO or OSATE
• Experience with DoD acquisition programs and processes
• Familiarity with Air Force systems and operations
• DAU Level III in Systems Engineering
• Active TOP SECRET clearance

Location

Dayton, Ohio. Hybrid work location possible. Paid relocation available to the Dayton region. May be required to occasionally work on base at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
