QA automation is a key component of Kaplan's ability to quickly launch high-quality, innovative education products to our students. As an integral member of a cross-functional Agile team, you will use industry-standard tools and frameworks to conduct functional and performance testing on web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop automated test scripts that are robust, performant, and maintainable using Playwright other frameworks.
- Work closely with developers, designers, and CloudOps to meet team commitments.
- Work with the QA to improve software development and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure that applications and APIs developed by the team are reliable and meet users' needs.
- Work with Performance test experts and make sure platform is scalable and reliable.
- Provide the product owner with information they need to prioritize features (e.g., effort estimates, alternatives, technical risk)
- Manage the timeline and status of the software release process.
- Work closely with developers to learn implementation details about product feature and perform releases.
- Provide production support of software products by investigating and recreating reported defects.
- Give timely, helpful feedback to peers and managers.
- Make decisions on technical trade-offs by looking at tactical and strategic perspectives.
- Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office
- 30-day notification period preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 3-5 years as a full-time, hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance (Functional)
- 3+ years’ experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Must have hands-on experience with Playwright with JavaScript
- Experience in collaborating effectively across a variety of IT and business groups, across regions, roles, and able to interact effectively with all levels.
- Proven record of execution of QA strategy and unification of QA processes across or organization
- Strong experience on Rest Assured API automation using JavaScript.
- Must have hands-on experience with Selenium automation using Java.
- Working experience of any Relational Database and DB Queries.
- Working knowledge of tool and technologies like Jenkins, GIT, JIRA and ALM.
- Well versed with approaches like BDD, Keyword Driven, Data Driven and hybrid Driven test automation.
- Understanding of Agile/Waterfall development process and is comfortable diving into the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable solutions.
- Have deep experience in defining and developing the service test automation framework.
- Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge on API Testing (Postman & RestAssure)
- Knowledge on Accessibility Compliance Testing and Qualys – Web vulnerability Testing (Nice to Have)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services a plus.
