Senior R&D Engineer

Imagine yourself in a role where you will play a crucial part in the development and improvements of new and existing life-changing products.

In this role will you, with your deep knowledge, lead and be a key player within R&D. You will work with a variety of tasks within concept development, new product introduction projects and innovation to make a real difference for our end users.

We are looking for someone that is innovative and would be motivated by a role with great variations and who wants to work in a successful and growing medical device company.

We work according to Agile tools and methods and uses Lean thinking were applicable. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for innovation / development and / or improvement activities with respect to products and processes
• Proposes, drives, and reports activities within these areas
• Has a broad perspective to identify new solutions to both known and undefined customer needs
• Handles a wide range of technical problems and solves complex issues
• Will use good interpersonal skills to build effective collaborations with colleagues within Wellspect. It is also expected that you build up a network of contacts externally to promote the image and business of Wellspect.
• Will be responsible for supervision of more junior/less experienced staff and to supervise Master Students.

Qualifications/Background:

• We are looking for someone with a University Degree, preferably a PhD, with numbers of years of work experience within fiber materials and preferably with body contact
• Preferably you have experience from development of healthcare products, or other industrial experience within product development.
• You are innovative and creative, and like to think “outside the box” to find new opportunities
• You have the ability to quick read up on, compile and present knowledge and solutions to different stakeholders 
• Very good documentation and communication skills in English and preferably at least basic knowledge in Swedish.

You can work independently but also in teams, have an open mind with a flexible and adaptable approach. As a person you are eager to learn and have the eye to see what needs to be done.
