Job Description

What you’ll be doing:

Experian Consumer Services (ECS) is in search of a broadly experienced, roll-up-your-sleeves type of technologist to help us deliver our next generation B2B Digital Experience Platform (DXP).

More specifically We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Test Engineer with expertise in Salesforce administration, a deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, and a proven ability to test REST and SOAP APIs. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in JMeter, with a strong understanding of AWS as a bonus. Experience with automation in AccelQ, along with a working knowledge of JavaScript, is highly desirable.

This is a multi-year program so this role will be responsible for the design and development of the initial platform (12 months). Following that release, this role will be responsible for support of that platform while we deliver additional exciting capabilities to the platform.

You will be involved in all aspects of software delivery from sprint planning, standups, and solution design as well as quality assurance. We need somebody who can interact with our Product Owner, taking a vision and turning it into a scalable high-quality solution. This role is more than just a quality engineer – the ideal candidate will be a true system owner and solution consultant. We need your ideas and your expertise.

What your background looks like:

Role & Responsibility:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and developers to ensure test plans adequately cover all business and functional software requirements.
  • Work closely with the Agile Team to develop comprehensive automated test suites providing maximum test coverage in the most efficient manner.
  • Contribute to shaping the future of our automated testing and release capabilities.
  • Execute on our testing automation strategy collaborating with other team members to establish best practices.
  • Be the voice for quality, and ensure our products and deliverables are thoroughly tested before release.
  • Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen our technology platform and QA practices.
  • Design and execute QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality.
  • Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.
  • Perform functional/integration/regression testing duties proficiently and independently.
  • Advocate for ongoing release process improvements with our Technical Managers and DevOps
  • Produce sprint metrics around testing and quality.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant QA experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and SDLC, and how Quality Assurance processes fit in
  • Strong experience w/ test automation frameworks
  • Understanding of OOP and programming concepts in general
  • Working experience with API automation tools like SoapUI, REST assured & Postman
  • Working knowledge of HTTP concepts (request/response, headers, status, etc.)
  • Experience with relational databases – writing SQL and the ability to do analysis on data for testing.
  • Experience working w/Git or equivalent source version control.
  • Experience with bug tracking/workflow management tools, preferably JIRA
  • Working experience with ACCELQ is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a strong plus.
