Meaningful Work From Day One

HR Specialist responsibilities include administering HR processes, maintaining organizational information, and collaborating with HR business partners to complete assignments which include reporting, analysis, workforce planning, performance management, onboarding, and organizational changes. Serves as the point of contact for employees for day-to-day HR services.

What You Can Expect

  • Responsible for managing employee data in Workday and supporting HR Managers with open positions, employment offers, compensation/job evaluations, benefit communications, and performance management processes, as well as Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and metrics.
  • Provides basic HR guidance to employees on various topics and issues in partnership with HR Managers.
  • Creates reports and researches and analyzes data for the HR management team. Works closely with the HR Director, HR Managers, and hiring managers to provide support with employee data and implement changes for workforce planning, performance management, and other HR matters.
  • Develops and maintains close working relationships with a broad scope of employees across Brown-Forman to ensure timely coordination and accomplishment of assigned responsibilities.
  • Supports HR Managers to ensure a successful onboarding experience for new hires, including communication with candidates, partnering with the hiring manager to develop an effective onboarding plan and leading orientation.
  • Leads HR business process execution, including functional area incentive and performance management processes, reporting, and auditing information in Workday. Continuously identifies process improvement opportunities and implements changes within the scope of the role.
  • Other HR projects as assigned, including:

○ Prepares reports and serves as liaison with Payroll for processing payment of salaries, overtime, bonuses, sales commissions, etc.

○ Coordinates necessary security roles and updates with IT Security.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in an HR Generalist role or performing HR systems responsibilities.
  • Must be able to plan, organize, and complete assignments in a timely manner with minimal oversight.
  • Detail and process-oriented problem solver, with a focus on customer service, who is able to work independently or with a team .
  • Strong computer skills with current, or ability to quickly build, proficiency of Google Workplace [Slides, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar and Mail], Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and other software, as needed.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in business Japanese and English.
