At Zendesk, we create a service-first CRM company that builds powerful, customizable software to improve customer relations. We are growing our software engineering presence across multiple products.

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer for our WFM solutions team to join us on this journey. You will be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative environment that values collaboration and personal growth. You will work on a multi-functional distributed team of technical architects, project managers, and developers within the Zendesk Professional Services organization.

What you'll be doing

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by quickly adapting to changing priorities, technologies, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
  • Collaborate with the team to create software solutions through brainstorming, designing, prototyping, and programming in an agile environment, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Be responsible for the proper execution of projects, from the design of the solution to its delivery.
  • Write well-structured and well-tested code considering performance, reliability and scaling of our products.
  • Improve and optimize the performance of our applications, maintaining a consistent focus on delivering high-quality code.
  • Work with new technologies in a culture open to creative ideas.
  • Work as part of our team on the creation of technical proposals and on the implementation of complex functionalities.
  • Share standard methodologies, and promote continuous learning to improve the team’s capabilities.

What you bring to the role

Basic qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years demonstrated ability in a full-stack development role.
  • Experience in server and client-side development with the ability to design solution architecture.
  • Proficiency working with APIs and building integrations between diverse systems to create cohesive and efficient solutions.
  • Great communications skills in English to collaborate with teams spread across the globe.
  • A collaborative demeanor, contributing to an enjoyable work environment that promotes collaboration throughout the organization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with some technologies from our tech stack.
  • JavaScript, Typescript
  • Node.js, Express
  • React
  • Jest
  • Webpack
  • AWS S3, EC2, ECR, DynamoDB
  • MySQL
  • Experience in scoping and estimating solutions to provide accurate and realistic project timelines.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, ability to shift, and experience in a fast-paced work environment balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working for a SaaS company.
  • Experience with workforce management products such as forecasting, intraday scheduling, agent productivity tracking is a plus.
  • Experience working with APIs of platforms in the WFM ecosystem such as telephony & HRIS is a plus.

Tech stack

  • We write our code in TypeScript and run on Node.js while using Express as our web framework.
  • We use various AWS services to run our workloads and store data.
  • Our data are stored on MySQL.
