Summary 

The Commercial Director will be responsible for achieving profitable growth and sales objectives (volume, net sales and gross margin) for the PST business in accordance with Ingersoll Rand's vision, strategic objectives and policies, in ME region. Reporting to the leader of the PST - ME&I Countries, the Commercial Director will develop and implement the multi-brand (Milton Roy / LMI / Williams / ARO / Seepex / Hydro P / MPOB / IRP / Haskel / Butech) and multi-channel (direct / distribution / customer centres) strategy for the region.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Director ME will be responsible for the sales of PST Offerings in ME region comprising Gulf countries and Egypt), leading a large and competent team of Sales Managers / Engineers.

Main Duties include:

  • Effectively manage the activity of the sales team, including reviewing the pipeline of opportunities, producing accurate forecasts, tracking visits to ensure highest customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for immediate / mid term / long term that aligns with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute margin expansion strategies including higher price realization.
  • Identify opportunities for localization, build business case and work along with global Ops / Product management team to execute such projects.
  • Effectively implement new product launches in the region.
  • Work with marketing / DG team to execute region specific campaigns for multi-fold increase in sales funnel.
  • Visit with sales team, key customers and distributors as well as potential customers, find and develop new opportunities to increase our market share in our main strategic verticals.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the market, including customer needs, competitors, trends, impact of local legislation.
  • Provide accurate forecasts on a regular basis to senior management.
  • Represent the company at professional events as needed, develop and maintain relationships with key customers, and work closely with the customer success team to ensure that customers are satisfied with our products and services.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in sales of industrial goods and at least 5 years managing a sales organization.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Experience managing sales budgets and allocating resources effectively.
  • Knowledge of the Positive displacement pumps applications in Water treatment, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry would be an advantage.
