Job Description

We are currently seeking a Project Executive-Visual Merchandising who will report to VM and Retail Design Project Manager in Kering Eyewear China.

Your opportunity

The potential candidate will be capable of hands on the overall visibility for Maui Jim.

How you will contribute

This role will take charge of the execution and implementation of Maui Jim VM strategies in Chinese Mainland region.

1/ Plan, design and implement an overall business visual merchandising strategy for Maui Jim in-store (50%).

• Manage VM implementation for China market including fixture, customization & window, etc.
• Communicate with headquarters design teams to ensure following VM guideline.
• For VM shipments, liaise with logistics and vendors to ensure deliveries to stores on time.
• Design and develop display tools in order to attract visitors to the store.
• Manage visual and POS materials in store.
• Organize, schedule and facilitate repairs and maintenance
• Travel for supporting VM activities (openings, store visits & special setups, etc.).
• Assist to complete visibility report monthly.
• Support to other brands if needed.

2/ Support Maui Jim visual merchandising for events & EC channel (15%)

• Support Maui Jim VM activities with others together in buying day sell in events or multi-brands sell out events.
• In charge of all Maui Jim independent events.
• Assist any possible need from EC channel.

3/ Assist on the alignment and communication of local sales team, trade marketing, product team and logistics team, follow up the final execution (15%)

• Keep in touch with sales team to understand the actual needs/situation in stores and VM results.
• Co-work with trade marketing to complete all VM activities and POSM.
• Coordinate product team to ensure the VM activities match with the top assortment.
• Complete the overseas purchase with the support of logistics team.

4/ Manage budget and track costs and expenses (10%)

• Manage and track spending within budget, review it by monthly.
• Deal with related PO & payment process.

5/ Manage local vendors (10%)

• Liaise with local vendors and ensure all VM activities in high quality.
• Negotiation for reasonable price.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, spatial design, interior design, or a related field.
• At least 2 -3 years of experience as a visual merchandiser or similar role. Eyewear & beauty background is a plus.
• Hands on experience with visual software (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
• Capable of working independently.
• Good Microsoft package skills including Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Excellent communication & vendor management skills.
• Workable English both in written and oral.
• Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast paced environment
