Our Sales Team partners with merchants of all sizes around the world to help them increase their sales and reach the most consumers with a trusted, secure payment platform. The team help small and medium sized European merchants scale their business through payment acceptance and optimising checkout experiences

Job Description:

Your Way to Impact:

You’ll be joining our successful team with a focus on the DEATCH market. By using a consultative sales approach you’ll have a direct impact on our merchants’ growth.

Your day-to-day:

  • Operational and disciplinary management of a 10 plus strong team of Inside Sales Professionals ( ISP’s) . 
  • Achieving the sales team’s targets/quotas in terms of new merchants and new revenue as well as productivity targets 
  • Create an environment and culture within the department which supports the year on year increases of sales performance 
  • Build and foster a creative, innovative approach to sales whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements 
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of daily, weekly and monthly contractual performance levels across each KPI, showing understanding of any weak area and having clear action plans in place to overcome 
  • Responsible for forecasting, reporting, quota assignments/rollout, and other operational aspects of sales process. Optimizing, managing and operationally implementing PayPal’s business development and sales strategy. 
  • Leading, coaching, training, mentoring and monitoring the sales team so they achieve personal targets and ultimately, team targets 
  • Work closely with direct reports to produce clear development plans for all, aimed at increasing performance levels and building successful succession planning 
  • Maintain sales staff by recruiting, on boarding, and training employees in conjunction with PayPal Training Department, perform employee reviews and evaluations. 
  • Work with peer managers to leverage best practices and provide consistent coaching on sales and operational excellence to drive target achievement. 
  • Conduct one to ones with the direct reports to review results versus targets set and set action plans if required. 
  • Reporting to Senior Inside Sales Manager DEATCH

What do you need to bring:

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales revenue goals and productivity metrics. 
  • Experience of working in an Outbound Inside Sales environment as a leader, with evidence of coaching, developing and motivating staff 
  • You have a hands-on-mentality and you are an excellent people manager, inspiring people with your drive, energy and enthusiasm. Following a clear vision and strategy you communicate and lead with a dynamic and convincing attitude. 
  • Strong leadership skills and strong in execution, results driven and proven track record of holding teams accountable for end results 
  • The person in this position will need to build strong relationships with other departments in order to accomplish tasks and achieve goals. The ability to build relationships across key stakeholders is critical. 
  • Maintain a level of teamwork by incorporating a positive attitude, being supportive in words and actions, embodying the core values of PayPal, and communicating with all levels both within the existing team & anyone outside the direct reporting structure. 
  • You have a truly international mindset, along with being fluent English Speaker must also be a fluent German Speaker and a deep German market knowledge/Insights and an understanding of local culture in DE,AT and CH markets
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment. Maintain high level of job discretion. Performance is evaluated against the ability to make judgment calls, the ability to make sound judgment and decisions, displaying a heightened level of accountability, demonstrating a sense of responsibility, confidentiality and professionalism. 
  • Proven track record of Inside Sales for Business to Business (B2B) markets sales essential
