Position Overview

Responsible for execution of strategic sourcing and category management activities for assigned Digital, Marketing & Advertising (Media, CRM, Agencies, Martech, Loyalty, Photo & Video Shoots, Modeling Agencies, Event Production), spend categories. As a part of RLC’s Strategic Sourcing practice, Manager will lead in facilitating requirements gathering, conducting research and data analysis to facilitate the implementation of value creation opportunities. Manager interacts and works closely with project teams and manages day to day activities for assigned projects and initiatives. Reports to the Procurement Lead, NA Strategic Sourcing. Experience in analysis, sourcing & procurement for the Digital, Marketing & Advertising category as well as a desire to learn are essential. Ability to manage initiatives from inception to completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Develop category strategy and approach in accordance with overall strategy of Global Procurement including:

Development of Category-Specific Strategies with focus on Digital, Marketing & Advertising

Development of Key Stakeholder Relationships in an area with no previous Procurement involvement

Aligning category strategy to stakeholder prioritization and developing category road map

Prioritization, Planning of Strategic Sourcing Initiatives, then driving initiatives through to completion

Identification of Global vs Region-Specific Opportunities

Management of Project Timelines

Lead execution of Strategic Sourcing events in accordance with Ralph Lauren sourcing methodology including:

Development of Project Baselines and Spend Profiles

Development of Industry & Vendor Profiles

Development of RF(x) Documents

Prepare and Lead Vendor Negotiations

Development and Implementation of Supply Agreements

Provide support for Global Procurement initiatives as required:

Spend Analytics and Assessment

Procurement Performance Reporting and Savings

Procurement Policy and Process Compliance

Coordination of Financial Capture of Sourcing Outcomes

Supplier Relationship Management

Oversight of Strategic Sourcing Analysts’ day-to-day activities including:

Strategic Sourcing Support

Category and Vendor Management

Financial Analysis and Reporting coordination to validate savings regularly

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

Experience in business, or a related field preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Project Management, Financial Analysis / Reporting, and Contract Management required
  • 3+ years of Digital, Marketing & Advertising category-specific Strategic Sourcing experience required
  • Experience leading RF(x) events required - experience with Workday/ Scout e-sourcing an asset
  • Professional certifications are an asset (APICS, CPIM, NAPM etc.)
  • ERP knowledge preferred; SAP experience an asset

  • Ability to travel domestically / abroad as needed
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite--Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Project a plus)
