Team Overview: This person will work with the engineering, product, and design teams to formulate the overall design, and execute on, the strategic vision of the S&MS suite of products. This role reports to the SVP of Engineering for S&MS and is responsible for the overall architecture and technical vision of this business unit.

The Role: The S&MS Lead Architect will be in charge of creating the next generation software and technical design for the S&MS product suite. This role will report into and will interface with senior executives at D&B and will need both strong technical design expertise and strong communication experience. The architect will guide other architects and developers as we work through the design and move into implementing the stages of this new vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in requirements review with business partners. Plan future product direction. 
  • Participate with the larger Global D&B engineering team and become a valued member of the global engineering group and offices around the world. 
  • Present designs to team members, larger audiences, and key executives within D&B. Champion your cause. Actively promote designs within D&B and potentially in outside conferences and meetups.
  • Contribute code to all projects as needed and necessary for the team’s success. 
  • Requires conveying advanced information and persuading several diverse stakeholders/audiences.
  • Recognized internally as a subject matter expert. May direct the activities of others.
  • Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in a specific business area.
  • Strong written and communications skills a must. Must be able to document, present and articulate designs and technical decisions in front of teams, key business partners, and executive leadership.
  • Developer and Designer– loves to write code, build products and see your creations used by customers around the world.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/computer engineering required. Post graduate master’s degree in computer science is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in software development, design, and systems architecture.
  • Experience Desired: Java, React.js, UML Design, Agile development concepts, Web application development, Service Frameworks, Big Data
  • Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.
  • Focuses on providing thought leadership and works on broader organization projects, which requires understanding of wider business.
