The Private Bank combines Deutsche Bank’s private clients business in Germany and its international business with private and commercial clients together with Wealth Management in a single division.

The role is part of a PB Central COO team extension reporting into Mumbai lead and responsible for managing the business financials working closely with stakeholders globally.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for senior stakeholder management, creating high quality management materials – analytics, Management Information (MI) reports, deck – to support management decision making process sometimes on an adhoc basis
  • Preparation of Cost Forecast documents and Forecast calls: Coordination, review financials, provide succinct commentaries for Senior management & uploads.
  • Support Cost & FTE Management which includes maintenance of hiring pipeline & other FTE housekeeping activities.
  • Drive day-to-day WD activities like – JR preparation, JR review, approval of JRs, knowledge sharing with other business coordinators.
  • Partnering on global initiatives eg cost centre closure, approval chain in Concur, dbBuyer etc.
  • Support business units (Agile, Strategy & Marketing and Central COO) with day-to-day WD activities, cost deep dive & FTE walks
  • Follow up on rejected JRs with business units to meet hiring deadlines.
  • Support various planning rounds incl. adjustments of planning scenarios, alignment with global planning team including uploading plan in system
  • Support / run specific cost driver analysis and working closely with the Marketing team to manage cost targets.

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent stakeholder management, strong communication skills and escalation management
  • Thorough understanding of financial concepts in banking industry and can provide management with insightful analysis.
  • Ability to constructively challenge senior colleagues.
  • In depth experience in budgeting and forecasting of cost and FTE’s.
  • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills

Personal characteristics:

  • Graduation from top management college or Chartered Accountant
  • Ability to work independently as well as flexibly within intra or inter-departmental groups.
  • Continuous advancement of own skills and knowledge
  • Can-Do attitude & Able to cope well under pressure and tight deadlines.
