About the role

The aim of the role is to build, manage and lead Medical Oncology and Hematology Franchise team within the Country Organization while driving the strategic planning and tactical direction of the team objective.

Focus on optimizing patient access and outcomes by providing up-to-date compound and disease area medical expertise, leading across functions to address external and internal stakeholder needs. Shaping and implementing the Local and Global Therapeutic Area strategy through innovative integrated evidence generation, engagement on scientific results with internal and external stakeholders, and co-creation with healthcare systems and the scientific community. Building Medical team capabilities and creating collaborative working culture. Ensuring that the best interest of patients and those who care for them are identified and met.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the leadership and management of the assigned Medical Franchise with all assigned brands in strategic development and execution
  • Working cross-functionally with other Novartis departments to develop aligned strategic plans for the optimal dissemination of clinical evidence by the Medical Franchise associates in pre- and post-product launch phases in line with local health authority guidelines, translating it into the practical aspects effectively.
  • Drive the consolidation of KOL and key account insights to support the development of the Medical and CPO product strategies and relationships.
  • Ensuring appropriate scientific communication for the assigned Medical Franchise.
  • Accountable for the yearly medical tactical planning process within the assigned Medical Franchise, with budget planning and execution responsibility.
  • Accountable for the performance management, talent development and collaborative working culture implementation.

Role Requirements

Essential Requirements :

  • Education: MD or PhD/PharmD in Health Sciences; Desired: Specialist Degree or specialist qualification related to Oncology or Hematology; Business degree (e.g. MBA)
  • Languages: English - fluent spoken & written; Polish: fluent spoken & written highly preferable
  • Min. 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Proven track record in People Management
  • Strong medical and scientific bases and agility to transverse the diseases’ arena
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong communication skills and customer orientation
  • Scientific, clinical or research background GCP
  • Preferred experience in innovative study designs e.g. RCT/RWE mixed designs
  • Preferred experience in implementation science
  • Preferred proven track record of co-creation and co-execution of protocols with stakeholders in healthcare systems
